Atlas Honda launched CD 70 in 1981 in Pakistan it was the first 4 stroke bike of Pakistan and was meant to replace 2 stroke bikes and Vespa scooters. Honda CD 70 Engine and Gear Box

Honda CD 70 offers a 4 stroke, 72CC SOHC engine with a single spark plug and with Air cooled option.. This engine produces around 5.1 HP at 7500 RPM and 5 Nm torque at 5500 RPM. This power is enough for daily commute and short trips of around 20Km radius. This smaller capacity assists in making Honda CD 70 the most fuel efficient bike which will give you around 60KM/L which is the best fuel average by any bike in Pakistan. This means on a complete fuel tank this bike can go up-to 500 kms. 

Honda CD 70 comes with a 4 speed constant mesh gear box and this gear box comes with multiwet clutch technology. Honda CD 70 Suspension

The suspension of Honda CD 70 is as simple as the bike itself. On the front, the bike has conventional telescopic hydraulic fork and at rear the conventional two sided swing arm fork set. The suspension of this bike is not bad and at the same time it is not as good. The bike suspension is designed to ride it on roads not on off-roading trails as it will break the seals of front forks and damage the suspension. The bike suspension is not made to travel across cities means it’s not made to travel intercity. The suspension of Honda CD 70 is enough to tackle daily life road impacts and maintain the stability of the bike.

Honda CD 70 Design and Body Frame

The body and frame of Honda CD 70 is the most common bike frame and body available in Pakistan. Honda CD 70 Braking & Tires

Honda CD 70 offers drum brakes both at front and back which means the maintenance of brakes is required regularly as the braking pads of drum brakes need to be changed early as compared to disc brake pads. The bike uses conventional spoke rims made up of steel with no alloy rims option. This means the bike uses old tube tires and it makes sense as almost all the mechanics in Pakistan are trained to fix the punctures of tube tyres.

The front tire is 2.25-17 (4 PR) and back tire is 2.50-17(4 PR), this means at the front the diameter of rim is 17 inches and the fatness of tire is 2.25 and the strength of tire is 4 ply-rating. The back tire has fatness of 2.50 and 17 inches rim diameter. Both tyres of Honda CD 70 are of 4 PR which means they are designed for lower load-carrying and can carry the weight to max of 500kgs depending on company and quality of tyres.
