Suzuki GR 150 Price in Pakistan – Specs, Features & Expert Review

Introduction

Pakistan Suzuki is famous for its 150 cc bikes range to keep this consistency Suzuki Pakistan introduced a marvelous and unique bike on 5th December 2017. The bike was a Suzuki GR 150. It was the first time a CBU (Complete build unit) 150cc bike was launched by a major player in Pakistan. In the past Suzuki Pakistan introduced Inazuma 250 and even Suzuki GSX 1300R aka Hayabusa as CBU in Pakistan but they were not the mainstream bikes.

These bikes can not be used as daily commuter bikes as of now Suzuki GR 150 is directly imported from China but mistakenly marketed as Thailand import. So basically this model of Suzuki is an international model which means the bike is running officially in China also. The Suzuki GR 150 is the most expensive daily commuter bike available by Suzuki as well as among local players.

There is a misconception this bike is Thai imported but in reality this bike is manufactured in China by Jinan Qingqi Suzuki. Suzuki Pakistan never officially claimed its a Thai import but the people associated with Suzuki Pakistan made a narrative this bike is Thai import. The manufacturing in China does not means its of low quality because this bike is made to in China which means its of international standard quality.

In this block we will discuss the Suzuki GR 150 price in Pakistan, engine and overall performance of this bike.

Suzuki GR 150 price in Pakistan

Pakistan Suzuki since its launch placed this bike as a premium commuter bike due to that back in 2017 when all the bikes were under Rs 1,80,000 the Suzuki GR 150 was placed at Rs 2,29,000. Which indicates this bike was in the premium bike segment and there is also a reason for this big price difference. As all the bikes by Honda and Yamaha are assembled in Pakistan but this bike is directly imported from China.

Due to that the tax duties on this bike are more as compared to the other CKD bikes even as compared to Suzuki GS 150 the price difference is huge. The reason is the same as the GS 150 manufactured in Pakistan, not like Suzuki GR 150.  Currently as of 2026 Suzuki GR 150 is priced at Rs 5,52,000. Still this bike is the most expensive 150cc daily computer bike by any Pakistani big player.

Suzuki GR 150 technical specs

In this section we discuss the engine, suspension, brakes and aesthetics of Suzuki GR 150.

Engine

The engine of this bike is 149cc OHC, with a balancer shaft, 4-stroke, and air cool engine. The engine is a SOHC engine that will give us decent performance . This bike is not too fast, not too slow and also comes with zero vibrations because of the balancer shaft. The engine produces around 11.1 HP @ 8000 RPM and 11.5 Nm of torque @ 5500 RPM best for commute and daily uses. The bore and stroke of this bike is 57 X 58.6 mm the bike has the option of kick start with self start.

The bike’s engine is pretty solid and Euro 2 compliant. The compression ratio of this bike is 9.2:1 which means this bike will run perfectly on regular fuel. The bike comes with 5 speed constant mesh gearbox with wet clutch traditional technology. The bike uses a slide type carburettor named Mikuni VM20 similar to the PZ carburettor, the most famous carburetor in Pakistan. That means the maintenance of this bike will not be an issue for the mechanics in Pakistan.

Suzuki GR 150 has a top speed between 110 to 15 km/h depending on external factors. This bike can give you an average of around 35 to 45 km again depending on your riding style and external factors. This bike has been available in the market since 2017. It has been in Pakistan for more than 8 years and this engine is perfect and reliable if maintained well. As of now there are no credible resources who have discussed the known faults of this engine.

But some sources complain that this engine creates a lot of heat. The reason is the hot environment of Pakistan and the people here treat these bikes like Honda CD 70 and they don’t pay tension towards maintenance.

Body and Aesthetics

The bike has a very unique, practical and sportier design. The bike does not come with the conventional sportier and naked style bike like with big impractical tanks. The front light of this bike is pretty aggressive and the tank of this bike is sleek and on a thinner side perfect for daily commuting.

The overall dimensions of bike are (2,055 X 750 X 1075). The wheel base of this bike is 1,310mm which is a decent wheel base and the ground clearance is 165mm. This ground clearance is more than GS 150 and decent for the roads of Pakistan.

This feature actually makes this bike more practical and convenient. The back light is placed under the seat, the front and back mudguards of this bike are made up of high quality plastic. While the tank is made up of metal the bike is relatively sleek but not too small. The bike is available in black and red colours.

The bike uses traditional halogen bulbs at the front headlight, the halogen bulbs in indicators and in the backlight. The build quality of this bike is amazing and the reason is this bike is directly imported from China and it has international  standard build quality. The paint quality of this bike is amazing and again the reason is that it’s a CBU bike.

Although Suzuki is famous for its build and paint quality of its bikes, this bike has exceptional build and paint quality. The overall symmetry of this bike is amazing from start to end. It’s not like that Suzuki gathered some parts and gathered them to manufacture a bike. It shows Suzuki had did a decent R & D for its design and its engine.

Speedometer

GR 150 speedometer is very beautiful and minimalistic. The speedometer has two classic round dials on the left around dial we have to speed in km/h. The top speed mentioned there is 160 km/h which is definitely not achievable with this bike. On the left side we have the trip meter and the total mileage covered. While on the right side we have the RPM meter, the speedometer also has fuel gauge and gear position indicator. Overall the speedometer gives premium and exclusive looks, totally match with the symmetry and design philosophy of this bike.

Tire and Suspensions

The suspension is a traditional telescopic fork at front and rear swing arm suspension. The bike has a front disc brake, the real brake is a drum brake and these brakes are pretty decent. They can easily handle the bike and the speed of the bike. The tyres are also of good quality at front the tyre is 2.75 at 18 inch alloy rain while the back tyre is 90/90 m/C at 18 inch alloy rims. The bike’s alloy rims quality is amazing but these tyres are not tubeless.

Maintenance

The maintenance of this bike is a complex thing. The reason is this bike is not manufactured or assembled in Pakistan as this bike is a CBU. So Pakistan Suzuki has to train its mechanics regarding this with this bike. The GR 150 comes with the traditional SOHC engine and the carburetor is a slide type carburetor. But we don’t recommend going for regular maintenance of this bike with the local mechanics.

Only go to your nearest Suzuki Pakistan dealership or your nearest Suzuki certified mechanic shop. Some parts of this bike will cost more and there is the import duty. will not be a beach to be honest  but the quality of this bike is top notch due to the fact that it will not create hurdles for you if maintained well and properly.

Critiques

This section will discuss the pros and cons of this bike.

  • Decent road presence.
  • Vibration free ride is best for long trips.
  • Good network presence of Suzuki network in Pakistan.
  • Bike available on easy monthly installments by Suzuki itself with 0 mark up.

Cons

  • The bike is the most expensive 150cc by any local player.
  • The bike is a CBU unit meaning high prices of spare parts.
  • The resale value of this bike is less because of its exclusive audience.
  • Local mechanics may harm the bike if not trained well.

Conclusion & Analysis

Suzuki 150 GR is a regular and daily use commuter bike introduced by Suzuki Pakistan as a CBU and comes with top notch quality. Regarding build quality, engine performance and braking performance everything is on point. The overall shape of this bike looks like a perfect commuter bike, this design is practical and suitable for mature riders. While the younger audience who want aggressive bikes will not like its design philosophy.

The fuel average of this bike is also decent as it has a 150 cc engine. This bike is a perfect commuter bike for long tours and long trips within the city. This bike can be an entry level tour bike for beginners. The dry weight is 133 kgs which shows that the bike is too heavy for a 150 cc bike that’s why this bike is not for beginners.
