MG HS Price in Pakistan 2026 – Hybrid+ & Super Hybrid Comparison

Introduction

MG HS is one of the first SUVs of Pakistan which was launched back in 2020 by MG Pakistan. Now the second generation of MG HS has launched in April 2026. MG HS was one of the first SUVs which started the trend of SUVs in the Pakistani vehicle market. At the time of its launch MG HS was offering some of the most unique features and the latest design. Back in 2020 when it was launched the MG HS price in Pakistan was around 5.4 million rupees.

After its launch back in 2020 it was first introduced  as CBU means it was imported from China as a completely built unit. Later MG started assembling this car in Pakistan. MG HS after its introduction became one of the most popular SUVs or I can say that it is  one of the most popular cars in Pakistan.  MG  was introduced by a Pakistan based businessman named Javed Afridi who is the owner of Peshawar Zalmi, TCL and Haier in Pakistan.

Also MG was one of the few entrants who directly challenged the oligopoly of the big three Giants of Pakistani vehicle industry. MG has introduced new features and better fuel efficiency in the new engine because the biggest shortcoming of previous MG HS was its fuel average. MG was introduced in 1924 which has the legacy of creating some of the most iconic cars back in the 20th century.

But in 2005 the company struggled with finances and then the Chinese company Nanjing Automobile acquired MG, then SIAC motors acquired that company in 2007. Morris Garages has British heritage but  the technology is from China and as of now China is leading in AI and all kinds of technologies.

In this article we will discuss the latest version MG HS price in Pakistan, its variants and does it worth the hype.

Price in Pakistan

As of now MG HS is available in 3 models in Pakistan the oldest generation which is MG HS PHEV. The MG HS PHEV price in Pakistan is 9.89 million. The MG HS Hybrid Plus price in Pakistan is 9.49 million and the MG HS Super Hybrid price in Pakistan is 10.2 million. In this blog we will discuss the latest MG HS Super Hybrid and Hybrid + models and their details.

MG HS Super Hybrid Running Cost Calculation

The claimed range of the Super Hybrid variant is 135 km (NEDC range) which is equivalent to 98 km EPA which is closest to real life scenario. The Super Hybrid can be a great bargain as it’s the cheapest latest PHEV by any company available in Pakistan with this battery capacity. If you are charging MG HS Super Hybrid with WAPDA electricity is around (1300-1500) based on latest prices. That means the car running cost will be Rs 15/km excluding maintenance while a normal non hybrid SUV costs Rs 32-35/km. The cost we calculated is pure electric range and it will definitely extend by combining with a petrol turbo engine.

Discussion

The good thing about MG HS is that MG Pakistan frequently updated variants. Like the MG HS Trophy model, the MG HS PHEV, and MG HS 2nd generation Super Hybrid and plus variants. MG has a clean reputation of providing good after sale support and a good network across Pakistan. Which means the resale value of all cars of MG are good because of strong network presence. Although all the things are good with MG HS but there is a negative point which has affected the MG HS a lot.

The point is its fuel average in the initial models variants they literally have around 8 or 9 KM/L. But in the previous generation MG Pakistan did a good thing and that was the addition of a plug -in hybrid variant with a dedicated charger. This shows that the company sincerely works on the feedback now it has introduced the new models and one is with a bigger and dedicated battery and other is simple hybrid system without dedicated charger and big battery.

Conclusion

Mg HS is one of the pioneer SUVs of Pakistan as it started that trend of SUVs in Pakistan. MG HS has always been a successful car despite the fact it has a bad fuel average. The success matrix included the good build quality, the brand name Morris Garages feels premium and British. While the car from interior as well exterior feels premium and gives an essence of luxury.

The good thing about MG Pakistan is that they frequently updated the MG HS lineup with newest models in April 2026. MG provides Shariah compliant installment plans which is also a good thing. MG always creates a balance between their prices of vehicles and the prices of their after sales support.

As in Pakistan some companies offer less expensive cars but the after sale support cost is huge including spare parts, regular service and maintenance. If you have a budget around 10 million or 1 crore MG HS is one of the best options available in market. MG HS super hybrid is one of the cheapest SUVs available in the market. With a dedicated charger and battery to give you a pure electric range of 135 km(NEDC).
