Introduction
Honda City was launched by Atlas Honda in Pakistan in 1997 and since it’s introduction in Pakistan the Honda City has become one of the most popular cars of Pakistan. Atlas Honda from the start has the perception of providing sportier and more expensive cars as compared to Toyota Indus. But with the launch of Honda City Atlas Honda has also created this perception of making a good budget friendly car.
The car already won the best fuel average award in its class. Since the launch of Honda City back in 1996, Honda has introduced a total of 6th generations specifically for the Pakistani market. The sixth generation is the current and the fifth generation manufactured in the market from 2009 to 2020.
Atlas Honda introduced some features with time throughout this 11 years and the major shape of that car changed in 2021. While internationally Honda was launching models for Honda City following the latest trends but in Pakistan the chemistry was different. And for 11 years Pakistani have to buy the same 2009 design even in 2020. In this article we will discuss Honda City price in Pakistan and the latest available with their specs and performances.
Honda City price in Pakistan

The highest variant of Changan Alsvin priced at 4.8 million rupees while the Toyota Yaris priced at 6.05 million rupees. The clear winner is Changan Alsvin and Honda City price in Pakistan is placed at second.
Variants
So as discussed earlier Honda has introduced the three variants in Pakistan. One variant with 1.2L engine and with just basic features with no fancy functions just a simple car with practical features. The simple variant Honda City 1.2L price in Pakistan is at around forty seven lacs. So the middle variant Aspire 1.5LAS is priced at 6.07 million and this is the loaded variant with start/stop button, and lots of other features. The third variant which is known as Honda City Aspire S 1.5LAS is priced at 6.149 million. So by looking at these tables you have a better understanding of which option will be best for you. One thing I really appreciate that CVT has introduced in basic variant and that means the basic variant price in Pakistan is 4.7 million rupees. But all the remaining features will remain basic and the difference between the Aspire and AspireS model is the use of LED headlight, LED fog lights interior upgrades, and similarly the spoiler at the back with black shark fin antenna.
In my opinion the AspireS 1.5 model is the most value for money model and I guess Atlas Honda wants to sell their AspireS 1.5 model. For that purpose they have adjusted the prices strategically to increase the sale of their AspireS model.

Analysis
So the main question is does this car worth its price and whether we should purchase it or not. So far it depends on a client budget, the needs of the client and also the external factors like in which city the client is residing. Which terrain client wants to buy for example in a city like Karachi where there are poor road conditions the car is not good. The reason is the stiff suspension which causes better car handling.
But for roads of Punjab and specifically the central Punjab this car can be a good option. Regarding competitors the price is very interesting because if you look specifically in the sedans category the available options are Toyota Yaris, Changan Alsvin and Hyundai Elantra. While we look at the price segment the SUVs available are Suzuki Fronx and KIA Stonic. Hyundai Elantra is priced at 6.49 million that means the highest variant of Honda City is only around 3.4 lakhs cheaper than the Hyundai Elantra special edition.
Elantra has a bigger engine 1.6L, a better finishing overall including interior and exterior as compared to Honda City. The City has always been categorized as a family car and a fuel friendly car means the fuel average of this car is really really good as compared to its competitors. But if a person who wants the feeling of luxury can switch to Hyundai Elantra 1.6 special edition which has a lot more features then Honda City 1.5.
Meanwhile looks are subjective as the Honda City also has an aggressive shape but definitely older generation as new generational ready to be introduced in the international market. Similarly the Hyundai Elantra 1.6 also has a very luxurious and beautiful exterior and in my opinion the Hyundai Elantra is more beautiful than Honda City. But again it’s subjective and Hyundai Elantra is also of older generation as the new generation is more than 9 million rupees with hybrid technology and modern looks.
Also Atlas Honda is offering Shariah compliant EMIs but Atlas Honda did not provide much details on their website. For that purpose customers should always visit the nearest Honda dealership for more and detailed information. The good thing I personally like about Honda Atlas website is that it’s very convenient and you can also book your car from their website. You can calculate the on road prices including the freight charges and that tax on filer and nonfiler
Conclusion
Atlas Honda has a legacy of introducing some legendary cars in Pakistan and City is undoubtedly one of the most legendary and underrated cars. Yet when every Pakistani thinks about Honda the first car they think of is Honda Civic. But Honda City has always been a more practical, more economical and more sustainable option as compared to Honda Civic.
The target audience of Honda City always remains the middle class of Pakistan because of City price in Pakistan. As in Pakistan, the middle class always struggle with the petrol prices and Honda City provides one of the best averages in its class. Also, the maintainers and regular services of this as compared to other Honda options.
