The KIA Stonic was launched in Pakistan back in 2021 and at that time prices were between 3.6 to 3.8 million Pakistani rupees. The prices were of the two variants EX and EX+ models. As of now the KIA Stonic price in Pakistan is around 6 million PKR. Recently the price of normal EX variant from the KIA Lucky website has been taken down. That means now only the EX+ variant price is available, which is the highest variant. As compared to its direct competitor the Suzuki Fronx, the price is low as the Suzuki Fronx lowest variant is priced at 6 million.
The EX+ variant which is the highest variant of KIA Stonic is priced 6 million PKR. When looking at the competition price wise there are different options available but in Sedan category. Different Sedans are available in the price range between 5 million – 6.5 million including Changan Alsvin, Honda City, Toyota Yaris, and Hyundai Elantra. In the end the decision depends on the preference of which one the user wants to buy.

Regarding the interior things are not the same as the exterior. The exterior is too stylish and too modern but the interior gives the vibes of the contemporary design. The drawback of the interior is the floating display which is only 8 inches. The tone of yellow lining and the yellow colour in the interior is subjective. As some people will like it and some people will not like it otherwise the overall finishing of the interior is premium and modern.
The 8 inch display comes with Android Auto and Apple Car play. The car also comes with a sun glasses case. The Speedometer is not completely digital just like its elder siblings as the new generations of Stonic elder siblings. The speedometer of KIA Stonic is of contemporary style with two round dials and 4.2 inches LCD screen between these two dials.

Performance wise this car is just like any ordinary car. The car has 1.4L inline four cylinders producing around 100 horsepower and 133 Nm of torque. This SUV is not a fast car but these cars are made to be ridden within city and intercity within the speed limit. The good thing is that there is no manual transmission in this car means this car comes with automatic transmission. The fuel tank of this car is 45 litres that means KIA Stonic fuel average of 15 to 16 km/l on the highway. It can travel around 600 to 700 km depending on your driving style and external factors.

The car is not a success in Pakistan and the reason is its size. As its a B segment SUV or it does not fall into the category of Changan Osahn X7, Havel H6 & Jolion, and the MG H9. It’s a small SUV which means it is bigger as compared to Suzuki Swift but not equal to traditional SUVs. That’s why the target audience of KIA Stonic is very limited.
Critical Analysis
KIA Stonic has been the most underrated car in Pakistan as it was the first SUV/XUV of B Segment. Sales wise this car is also not on a good side as limited people have purchased this car. The reason is this selective target as in this price segment a person can buy a Sedan which means a better trunk space. KIA has to introduced the discounts in order to push the sales of this car and also KIA Lucky Motors are offering the 18 months Shariah complaint installment plans. Minimum you have to pay the 50% of the KIA Stonic price and the 50% it will be divided into 18 months.
That’s a good initiative by KIA Motors but in Pakistan it shows that this car is under-selling or has limited sales. As in Pakistan there is a culture that an extra amount has to be paid if the car is hot selling. Suzuki Fronx is priced at 6.4 million approximately for the highest variant while KIA Stonic EX+ is priced at 6 million with more features. This car has a specific type of audience and if you are from that specific audience you should purchase this car.
It has an amazing build with amazing looks Also in my opinion by the launch of Suzuki Fronx in Pakistan the value of this car has increased. As Stonic KIA has more features in less price and also with no compromise on quality.
Conclusion
KIA Stonic was launched as the first B segment SUV of Pakistan and this car has always been the most underrated SUV. The KIA Stonic price of 6 million for this car with some decent amount of features and build quality is justifiable. Also Kia is offering Shariah complaint installment plans for this car which is very easy to get. This car is not a trendy car due to the fact that there is no need to pay the On price to get this car. Stonic KIA has a valuable addition in the Pakistani SUV market with just one competitior.
